The US ban on Huawei is latent in 2019. The Huawei P30 family was the last to be launched with Google Services. Since then, Huawei has had to put a stop to many of its launches in the West, outside of its flagships. However, the non-dependence or need for Google Services in China means that the pace can continue normally, but we know that we are missing a lot of what Huawei could have offered us in Europe.
No one can say whether the US allegations are unfounded or not. We do not know whether the United States has evidence to support that Huawei is an instrument of the Chinese government. What we do know is that they have been putting large terminals in our hands for years, and that we are missing the party of models that are not arriving , because the company has stepped on the brake of its launches for the West. It is true that the flagships are available, but it is perceived that the full potential of Huawei is being shown at half throttle.
In this list of terminals we see many that we would like to sink our teeth into . We do not know if they had reached our market with a name change or technical variants, common in Huawei. But without a doubt they would have been received with open arms by many fans of the brand. Some of the most interesting are the following:
Huawei Nova 8 Pro 5G
The Huawei Nova 8 Pro 5G was presented at the end of last year. It has a large 6.7-inch screen and integrates the powerful Kirin 985, which is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. It has four rear cameras with a 64 megapixel main sensor and a double front camera with 32 + 16 megapixel sensors. Do not forget that it has a 4,000 mAh battery, with a beastly fast charge of 66W, capable of charging 100% of its capacity in just 35 minutes. Its price starts at 500 euros to change, and has a brother with a smaller screen and battery.
Huawei Nova 7 Pro 5G
And if we have missed the Nova 8 Pro, the previous generation has not passed through these parts either. The Nova 7 Pro 5G was launched in April 2020, with Huawei totally stagnant with the US coup and many of its plans for the West paralyzed. The terminal also integrates the Kirin 985, with 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. It also has six cameras in total, with four rear cameras with a 64 megapixel main sensor and a double 32 + 8 megapixel front camera.
In this case, the battery is 4,000 mAh with a 40W load, and like the previous one and as its name suggests, it arrives prepared to be compatible with 5G networks. Its exchange price starts at 485 euros in its most modest memory variant.
Huawei Y9a
It was in September of last year, when Huawei unveiled the Y9a. It is a very curious terminal, because it offers a full screen design thanks to its retractable camera. It could look like a kind of Mate 40 Lite due to its design and rear cameras. The terminal is sold in some Latin American countries such as Guatemala, but Europe has not arrived.
The best thing is that it has a price of around 200 euros to change. It would have been an excellent rival for Chinese opponents in the mid-range range, thanks to its 6.63-inch FullHD screen, Helio G80 processor with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. It also has four rear cameras and a 64 megapixel main sensor. Its battery reaches 4,200 mAh with fast charging of up to 40W.
Huawei Enjoy 20 SE
Huawei’s Enjoy series has also visited Europe on many occasions. These terminals were generally renowned and embedded in the Huawei Y family. Therefore, we have also missed the Enjoy 20 SE. And it’s a shame because it is one of those terminals with a good quality / price ratio. The terminal starts at 160 euros to change, and offers a 6.67-inch screen, Kirin 710A processor with versions of 4 or 8 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage. It also has three rear cameras, in this case with a more modest 13 + 8 + 2 megapixel configuration. Its battery is 5,000 mAh with a fast charge of 22.5W.
Huawei nova 8 SE
Another of those devices that we would have loved to see in Spain is the Huawei Nova 8 SE. The terminal was presented at the end of last year, sporting MediaTek‘s Dimensity 720 5G processor, manufactured in 7nm. We are therefore facing a quarrelsome mid-range, which also has four cameras with a 64 megapixel main sensor, and a 3,800 mAh battery with 66W fast charge, which allows it to charge 60% in 15 minutes. Its price is below 500 euros.
